Poisonandplay was commissioned by curator Valerie Smith for Labor Berlin 6, Haus der Kulturen der Welt for Labor Berlin, July – October, 2011, Berlin, Germany.


Parts of Poisonandplay were first developed at an urban garden lot in Gleisdreieck for the site-specific exhibition “Stay Hungry”, curated by Theo Ligthart and Anna Redeker, January – June, 2011


Pia Lindman first investigated poison and pollution with her participation at the 1st International Industrial Biennale in Ekaterinburg, Russia, and created the video Milk of Magnesia

based on interviews of workers at the former refinery plant of gold, platinum and iridium in the city center of Ekateinburg, Russia.
